  Cut to Friday, we went away to Forster for the weekend and my phone got completely smashed (unusable), so on the Saturday morning i dropped in to Forster Optus store where they were VERY helpful and told me I would just need to pay out my current phone then pick out a new phone and plan. The price to pay out my phone would be $315. Great I said but I was in a big rush that morning so I said not to worry doing it now I'll get it all sorted at my local optus (Muswellbrook) on Monday.

  Last Tuesday my partner went in to the Muswellbrook store to re-contract and upgrade his phone and he was told the phone and tablet package deal he had found and was interested in on the Optus website was only available to purchase online not in store. They could not help him.

  Firstly I want to say that I have been an Optus custumer for over ten years now and I am perfectly happy with them as a service provider. This review is for the Yes Optus Muswellbrook store only.

  I walked out of the store to my partner and explained the strange scenario that just played out so he jumped straight on the phone to Singleton Yes Optus and explained it to them and they were VERY confused by it all and straight away got in to my account and told me they can help me out. So off to Singleton we headed (30mins away). The woman there was completely lovely, helpful and great at her job. Her name was Aleana. Within half an hour I had my new phone and tablet (funnily enough, the exact same deal my partner liked but was still waiting for to arrive in the mail as Muswellbrook optus wouldnt sell it to him) and I was feeling very relieved as the price to pay off my phone WAS $315 (what Forster told me) NOT $475 (like Muswellbrook told me).

  I would like someone to please touch base with me in regards to this pay out price because this woman from Muswellbrook is obviously over charging people in the same boat as me and I'd like to please know why? I'd also like to know why the Muswellbrook store refused to sell my partner his phone and tablet and just directed him online.

  First thing Monday (the 4/12/17) morning i go in to Muswellbrook Optus where the woman working there did not even get out of her seat just called across the room what was wrong. I explained to her my smashed phone situation and needing to pay it out and re-contract. She looked up my account and quickly informed me that her system was down and she could not access my account at all but she could tell me the price to pay out my phone which would be $475. I said no, I was told in Forster it will be $315. She just laughed and said no thats wrong. I said so if you can't access my account can you sell me a phone to which she told me no she cant sell me a thing or help me but that she will call me when the system is working again tomorrow. To which i laughed and said no you cant call me, my phone is smashed thats why Im here
